I recently acquired the PDC release of Microsoft's next release of Windows, Windows 7. After hearing the hype of how much more reliable and stable it is (even in a development build) I thought the best way to test that would be to place in a VM on my Macbook. Well today will be an interesting day for the Americans as they go to the polls to vote for their next president. While I hope Obama wins I really don't care beyond that at this stage, the only true test will be once Obama is in power. I recently placed one of my old 3.5inch HDs into a cheap caddy from DealExtreme.com (some generic brand). Now the caddy works a treat, it has adequate cooling and I have no complaints with my usage on my Macbook. But the disk itself generates a lot of vibration and it can be heard throughout my desk, and it has been bugging me while studying.
